Our story

A studio built on referrals.

Swift Fitness was founded in 2015 by owner and head trainer Chris Swift. After working at a large commercial gym, Chris became frustrated with the fitness industry. He saw firsthand how personal training too often prioritized sales and one-size-fits-all programming over genuine client care, long-term progress, and sustainable results. That experience drove Chris to open Swift Fitness. He began by training out of clients' homes around Gaithersburg and Rockville, and acquired our current Gaithersburg location in 2017. The studio has grown exponentially in the years since, primarily through referrals from clients across Gaithersburg, Rockville, Germantown, Bethesda, North Potomac, and the rest of Montgomery County. The principle behind it has stayed the same: offer a great service, and the people will come.

At Swift Fitness, real work leads to real results. Workouts are never designed to have you move for the sake of moving; they're built to deliver every benefit that comes with strength training.
